Joey Daycare offers space for one infant group and two mixed-age groups. In addition, we look after two groups with bigger children who are about to start kindergarten, a so-called "pre-kindergarten group".

This is a care measure that is very well received by our parents and the children.

The group division and facilities have been designed and approved in collaboration with the Social Department of the City of Zurich and the responsible daycare supervisory authority.

​

In order to meet the individual needs of all children, an additional quiet zone is available. This offers the smaller children in particular an alternative. In this way, we can offer the older children space to carry out age-appropriate sequences.

In the baby room, breastfeeding mothers have the opportunity to breastfeed their child undisturbed.

Children mostly play on the floor. For this reason, we attached great importance to natural, ecological materials when selecting the floor covering.

​

We therefore use a natural floor that consists almost exclusively of renewable raw materials. Essentially, this is a mixture of cork and wood flour as well as linseed oil and various resins. Added to this are mineral dyes (earth and mineral dyes) and a fabric made of jute fibres as a carrier mass. The natural raw materials also ensure that this floor is pleasantly warm. The ideal, natural floor covering for our little guests.

Joey Daycare is in the most central location in Zurich Wollishofen (tram line 7, the tram stop "Post Wollishofen" is directly opposite, Wollishofen railway station is in the immediate vicinity).

 

In addition, car parking spaces are available in front of the house for dropping off and picking up the little ones.

Opening hours

Joey Daycare is aware that nowadays many parents have to work late in the evening. That is why we offer extended opening hours.

  • Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m

  • The Daycare is closed on Saturday and Sunday

We mainly follow the official holidays of the city of Zurich:

  • Karfreitag (closed)

  • Easter Monday (closed)

  • Day before May 1st (open 07:00 - 19:00)

  • May 1st, Labor Day (closed)

  • Auffahrt-bridge Friday (closed)

Prices

All-day care


CHF 149.50.- for babies up to 19 months

CHF 135.50.- for children from 20 months

​

The Joey Daycare charges a basic factor per month of 4.35 x number of care days per week.

​

The price includes diapers, milk powder and hygiene items.

​

Sibling discount

​

If more than one child from the same family attends Joey Daycare, the eldest child is guaranteed a 5% reduction

​

​

Familiarisation fee

​

For the familiarisation period of two weeks, three full days of care are charged. Should the settling-in period be shorter or longer, the amount will be adjusted individually.

​

​

Subsidized childcare places

​

A certain number of subsidized daycare places are available.

​

Payment scheme

​

In order to keep administration costs low and thus save parents higher fees, the monthly invoice amount is to be paid exclusively by standing order at the end of the previous month. Additional days of care will be invoiced separately.

 


Deposit

​

Upon conclusion of the contract, a deposit of CHF 500 per child must be paid.
The deposit is non-interest-bearing and will be offset against any remaining claims or refunded upon termination of the childcare contract. 
 


Enrollment fee

​

Upon conclusion of the contract, an enrollment fee of CHF 250 is payable for each child.
