Marco Thaler, himself a father of two, has implemented various projects in different industries and built something new. The well-being of children was always close to his heart. In 2010, due to the lack of child care centers, the idea of opening a daycare came up.

After intensive preparatory work and renovations, the first Joey Daycare was opened in Zürich Wollishofen in 2011.

Further Joey Daycare centers followed. Marco Thaler was accompanied in setting up the Joey Daycares by a long-time friend.

​

Maurice Locher is an entrepreneur himself and has supported the Joey Daycare since the beginning. Together, the two of them have now been able to establish four Joey Daycares in the canton of Zürich. Joey Daycare attaches great importance to a family-like atmosphere within the team as well as with the parents.

Why "Joey" you are probably asking yourself.

 

"Joey" is the kangaroo baby that feels extremely comfortable and secure in its mother's pouch.
This is also the motto of the Joey nursery: to offer the children a second home where they feel safe, comfortable and secure with a curious look ahead, for a natural and positive development.
